Benefits
The Topfield PVR digital TV recorder
gives you over 10 free channels which you can pause, record and
rewind at the touch of a button with no subscription.
The Topfield PVR has a high quality
upscaler to give you perfect pictures on an HD plasma or LCD TV.
The HDMI output will upscale to 576p, 720p or 1080i.
From the EPG just book your recording.
If it is a TV series you simply tell the PVR to record every week
or every day.
We have all been caught up at the office and
have forgotten to set the PVR for our favorite show. Now you can
connect via the internet to your PVR and set the timer record from
the office or anywhere in the world.
During your lunch break at work, connect to
your PVR and upload photos or MP3s or download recorded movies to
your home PC to burn to DVD.
How? Easy if you have broadband, just connect
the PVR to your home network via the LAN Ethernet connection, setup
the web server using the user manual and you are all set.
There is also Time Shift Recording - allowing
you to start watching a program, then if the phone rings you press
record and go answer the phone. When you return, just start playing,
the PVR continues to record while you watch from where you left
off. No VCR can ever do that. During a 2 hour movie, if your phone
call lasted about 20min, by the end of the movie you are watching
it in 'real time' again (as in not recorded) because you fast forward
the adverts. And yet you never realize until the end because the
shift is all seamless digital technology.
And to fast forward the adverts don't worry
about old technology fast forwarding, just hit the yellow button
to skip forward 20 seconds at a time. Keep pressing it and jump
through the adverts in record time.
And that's still not all the features. It also
has a MP3 jukebox built in. Use the LAN Ethernet connection on the
back to upload MP3s from your computer and then play them on your
home theatre.
Topfield
PVR digital TV recorders
We have done extensive testing of the Topfield
PVR before releasing it to ensure it has achieved a quality
standard to ensure you get the best TV experience with Freeview
Satellite.
We've worked hard to ensure it's easy to use
and reliable. And to ensure it won't chop the end off your favourite
drama it has the timer extend function. When setting the timer by
one touch in the EPG, after pressing the 'record' button once to
set the timer, just press it again to bring up the timer extend
menu. Now choose 'one time', 'daily', 'weekly' recording times and
extend the length of the timer to your choice. Simple and right
first time.
*the triple channel system
works by decoding a complete stream. This stream on Freeview includes
multiple channels. Because Freeview is broadcast on two transponders
the PVR will decode one transponder per tuner, giving full use of
all Freeview channels. Two channels can be recorded while a third
is watched.
**because Sky uses a special
encryption for which no Cam (card reader) is available, the Topfield
PVR can not currently be used with the Sky service. However Cams
are available for other services such as Zee TV. |
